For active substances, excipients, and of course intermediate and finished products, quality risks must be assessed throughout the manufacturing and distribution chain. This involves assessing the risks associated with the transport of the product, these materials, and these components. In general, companies across the sector have made significant progress in controlling internal risks, but have paid less attention to the risks associated with external suppliers and transportation.
